Biography

Iain McGinniss graduated from the Unversity of Glasgow with a 1st class honours degree in Software Engineering in 2004. During this time he received numerous awards for academic achievement, and worked for IBM on the prestigious Extreme Blue summer internship at Hursley Labs in 2003. Upon graduating, he secured a job working for Sword Ciboodle (nee Graham Technology). During a short 5 year career at Ciboodle Iain undertook several roles ranging from research to technical architect. Iain is also a BCS medallist - Young IT Professional of the Year 2006.

In 2009, Iain decided to return to academia to undertake a PhD at the University of Glasgow.
